A 3-4 hour guided tour by mini-bus around the RAF Upper Cold War Airbase Flying Field including visits to the Victor Alert and the Weapons Storage (nuclear bomb store) areas. See http://www.upperheyfordheritage.co.uk/home-page/tours/ for more details.

Whiskey 13 watch tower in the original nuclear bomb store built in the 1950s. Is is haunted ?

Please be advised that the tour may exceed timing estimates.

Tour registration is at The RAF Upper Heyford Heritage Centre, 103 West Castle Street, Heyford Park, Bicester, OX25 5BX at 9:30 am for the tour which starts at 10:00 am.

Although it is no longer compulsory, we urge all out visitors to wear a suitable face covering, observe 2m social distancing whenever practical, and use the hand sanitizers. This is for the safety of all visitors and guiding staff.

I was stationed at Heyford from 1944 thru 1948. I worked as a Command Post Controller. I am visiting UK and was looking forward to join your tour on June 12, but I see you are sold out. If at all possible, I would greatly appreciate participating on that tour. I would be delighted to brief and answer questions while visiting the command post for your guests.
